The domain name web-d-zine.co.uk was first purchased on 29th July 2008 after one of the co-owners of GemBiz had a conversation with their customer where web design was mentioned at least eight times. Somehow or other the word design morphed into D-Zine and when the co-owner returned to the office they were amazed to see that web-d-zine was available.

Since then web-d-zine.co.uk has been used as the domain name for various test sites, and that is about it.

So what does Web-D-Zine( WDZ ) mean on this web site:-

• Web - It is all about the web, making life easier for customers to access data and get their web based projects off the ground.
• D - Databases, of all the things that the tool WDZ, is good at it, it is databases.
• Zine - According to Wikipedia. A zine is short for magazine or fanzine, which seems appropriate as lots of magazine based web sites have used the code generated by the in-house version of WDZ to create their back end systems.
