According to Wikipedia boilerplate code is:-
In computer programming, boilerplate code, or simply boilerplate, are sections of code that are repeated in multiple places with little to no variation. When using languages that are considered verbose, the programmer must write a lot of boilerplate code to accomplish only minor functionality.
Well that is what Web-D-Zine( WDZ ) does for you. It writes the boilerplate. Insert, update and delete statements. Retrieves based on your retrieve requirements and indexes that match your retrieves. It has been coded in such a way that the documentation is written for you, and relationships between tables are restricted to two, which is good coding practice. It does not write the complicated stuff, but that is what the programmer is for, while WDZ is for the grudge work.
