Well I am now 60 and as you can see from my balloons, I am a little deflated. This is reality and quite frankly it bites. However, it has made me realise that I am like the balloon in that:-
- I am tethered to one spot - I love adventure, I love travelling in Salty Lass and I love looking for my new adventure. The reality is that Beverley's mum needs help and we are the only ones who can provide that help, so we are tethered to Bangor for the year
- Outside forces push the balloon around. - For me these outside forces are work, Beverley's mum and just life in general.
- I am deflated - For me, it is my vim and vigour that is leaking out and I feel like a pale imitation of my true self.
However, we are not like balloons and we are masters of our own destiny. We can choose, which path we take, so I choose to stop mopping about and to use the opportunity of staying in one place to finish WDZ and actually make one of my dreams a reality.
