Gaynor Portlock is the chief programmer of Web-D-Zine, a program that can cut your costs and create code for you in record time. So with Gaynor being such an important person as far as this project is concerned, we thought it would be fun to delve into her history and ask her a few questions.

So why has Web-D-Zine stalled?
Well the simple answer to that is, I have got a job, so when faced with actual money as opposed to potential money, I took actual money. The job is only full time until Christmas then part time after Christmas, so there will be plenty of time to finish Web-D-Zine.
So how much of Web-D-Zine have you written?
About 95%. The initial idea came from Beverley and the program that she wrote when she was a contractor. So the core code which is the templates for the three main programs and the basis for the program that creates the initial code came from Beverley, but very little of the core code is left. In fact so much additional code has been added that if Beverley looked at the code now that she might not even recognise that the core code was hers.
So how long have you been a computer programmer?
I started programming in 1977 when I was in Secondary school. Our school was one of the first schools to offer computer science as an O' level subject so they gave students who were in the top set for mathematics the opportunity, to program in BASIC. After one year, I decided to take the subject as one of my O' level subjects. It meant that I had to give up one of my lunch times and the equivalent of what is now called Personal and social education(PSE)
So what qualifications do you have?
I have BSc(Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and a PGCE qualification with my subjects being Mathematics and Science, especially Physics.
Describe yourself, with just one word.
Describing oneself with just one word is a good question and I was first asked this question over 5years ago. My answer then was Crazy and today I think that word still stands, as Gaynor Portlock is one Crazy girl.
